Kick my butt! Book manuscript.

I’ve got quite extensive revisions to do to a book manuscript. I’m so fed up of it! I have some spare time today and tomorrow to work on it, but I just can’t be arsed. Any suggestions for how to motivate myself/get down to writing? I keep finding other things to do that aren’t at all urgent. This book feels a million miles away from completion. Any advice for how to get myself to focus on writing?

Pomodoro timer app? Force yourself to do 15 mins, then you get a mini break.

I set for 3 rounds then you get a long break, to rearrange your pen collection, or whatever urgent task was calling to you before

@DecayedStrumpet yes, I should try that. I think it’s not helped by the fact that I don’t entirely understand what the reviewers want.

break the task down. take each point from the reviewers, number it, write some bullet points on what you think they mean. if it is an easy fix, then do it. That should get a decent number of the reviewer points ticked off the list.

For reviewer comments that are incomprehensible, then either talk it over with a colleague or write "I believe the reviewer meant to say 'please do X' so I've done X" for some plausible value of X.
