Hello All, my niece, who lives in India, has just been offered MSc Psychology at the University of Northampton. We are not very well aware of its credentials whether its good or not, how it is ranked, etc. The offer is for September intake, so since we are very short of time, I was hoping someone here could provide some valuable insights / views, so we can take a well informed decision in the relatively short time we have.

University Rankings will be available on Google

It’s hard to say if it’s good or not because it depends on how academic your niece is and good is relative to your niece’s ability. Are there other factors that will make a university appealing to you?

Well on the plus side that course is BPS accredited - otherwise for ranking look at sites like below (it doesn't rank highly but that isn't necessarily an issue unless she wants a higher ranking place and is confident she can get an offer - partly depends what she wants to do with it). This is basically a conversion course for students from non-psy degrees to get BPS accreditation - there are a lot of these courses around and they are very popular (and great money sources for universities). Might want to find out what the staff--student ratio is (some are alarmingly high) and search for some student reviews.
