Ancient language teaching

Can any ancient historians or classicists tell me how important the ability to teach ancient languages is on the job market for ancient historians right now (such as it is)? Do they help?

I'm a mature student halfway through my PhD on an ancient history topic and have ancient Greek (MA) and some Latin, and could definitely bring both up to undergraduate level teaching, certainly the Greek, and the Latin for 1st years anyway.

My supervisor isn't hugely interested in ancient languages from a teaching perspective (his focus is on prehistory anyway) and his advice is to focus on getting the PhD done before worrying about everything else, which is fair enough, but I could take also some time as I go to bring my languages up to scratch, and naturally I am worrying and overthinking, because time is flying.

Any opinions?
