Applying for first lecturer job

I am applying for my first lecturer job it is a clinical practice role and the description specifically invites those with no previous experience in academia.
I have 26 years experience of clinical practice, I am a qualified new grad mentor and student nurse coach so have relevant teaching experience.
I have a post grad certificate, but not in the specific area.
I haven't applied for a job for 26 years and am very nervous.
I believe I would be a good fit for the role and I am very passionate about helping the current young adults fill the resilience and communication skills gaps that are a result of COVID.
I think I am a pretty good teacher and have worked with dyslexic and dyspraxia student nurses helping them successfully complete their placements.
Limited as to who I can talk about it too as I hold a key role in my current practice and don't want to create uncertainty in the team.

Good luck, make sure you address each bit of the person spec in your covering letter to show you meet it, I'd do each one as a heading.

Thank you for that I think I have done that and tried to link to the institutions values.

Nursing academic here - good advice from PP about mapping application to person spec in order to get shortlisted in the first instance. I'd also read up on SSSA standards and future nurse curriculum. DM if you need anything

Thank you so much, but it's not human nursing.
