Anyone been Ofsted-ed?

Suspect the uni I'm employed at is probably due to be Ofsteded soon.

Anyone know what happens? Will they want to talk to staff or students individually? Do they just drop into classes? Do they look at student feedback sheets?

We've just been OFSTEDed - they wanted to do all of that and visit employers. Essentially they ask to see what they want to see. I wasn't directly involved but those that were seemed to think they were pleasant (they had just had training on being pleasant- after the issues they had in the statutory sector )

Did you get any advance warning of what classes they wanted to drop in on?

They outlined where they wanted to go/see on the first day

They are likely to outline what they want to see to senior managers. This will not necessarily be communicated to front line staff. They will just drop in to lessons/lectures without notice but will make an appointment to give feedback if required. Interviews will subject leaders will be timetabled but probably at short notice depending on the length of the visit.
