AVCs - other options?

Can anyone tell me (just moving back into academia after a very long time away) if I will be able to boost my tps pension by paying more on a monthly basis or is the only option to purchase AVCs?

I know I will have to start a new pension but I have savings and could buy more pension if it was possible?

Thanks worriedmum2022, I know I can make AVCs but wondered if there is another way of buying more pension.

When I was in the LGPS, I remember I could buy Additional Pension Contributions as well as AVCs.

Just wondering if something like that is available?
