Workload pressures

Am on a temporary lecturing contract and had a meeting to discuss workload. It's huge. I advised manager that it was causing me a significant amount of pressure, anxiety and stress. He agreed to reduce my workload but now wants to put in a referral to occ health 'for support'.

I'm not sure about this. I feel like the stress has been mitigated by the reduction in workload. Will it damage my chances of getting a FT contract if one arises (he'd be on any interviewing panel)?

I had to do the same this year (occ health were really good ) my workload has been significantly reduced at least temporarily. I do feel that I have now been labelled a 'not able to cope' But there's quite a few staff who have left/retired/on long term sick so I wasn't alone.

However, I'm on a perm contract and late career and not looking for promotion etc.
