Interview advice

Have been shortlisted for internal promotion from L to SL (for a job which was externally advertised).

I have sat on several interview panels for L and SL and know that normally the first question is a version of "why do you want to work here/what attracts you to this post".

How would such a question be phrased for an internal candidate and can anyone give me tips for good ways to answer it!

In my institution we are obliged to ask the exact same primary questions of each candidate. Internal or external regardless. Followup questions may vary, though. "Why do you want this post" is suitable regardless of internal/external, anyway.

Thanks. In our institution all primary questions are the same but I wasn't sure how to tweak for an internal post. I will have a think and come up with something suitable!
