Lecturer position - questions

Hi,

I am considering applying for a lecturer position for a vocational group of subjects. I currently work in the field, have some training delivery experience, mentored students etc, but academia would be a brand new area for me.
I have an informal chat with the department head tomorrow; any ideas for questions I could ask to find out more about the role and department?

There are the basics, FT or PT, salary, pay rise prospects, performance metrics, do you get your own or shared office...

I dunno what vocational means any more.
Is it more of a teaching lectureship or a research lectureship?
Sounds more like teaching.
I would ask about what admin you would be obliged to do, and what support they will give you in CPD or other career enhancement opportunities.
