LSA interview! Help!
Cathy1984 · 25/05/2019 07:09
I have been invited to an interview for a ks1 lsa/elsa. I am expected to do a reading task but this is the only information they have sent...
The reading task:
You will be asked to run a 20-minute session with 6 children, which will be centred on a book of your choice.
The children are of mixed ability from a Year 2 class.
Any advice?

I had to do similar for a job interview.
I would take some plain paper and colouring pencils and read the book and then ask the children to draw their favourite character from the story or design a new front cover for the book.
Then you could chat to them about what they are designing and why they chose that particular idea while they are completing the task.

You will probably get more responses if you ask MNHQ to move your post to the Staffroom board, OP. The Academics board is for people who work in universities.

Thanks, I find the categories on here really confusing!
