Training as a wellness coach - any ideas?

I'm looking for an accredited wellness coaching course, or a life coaching course which offers ongoing CPD in wellness. I've identified a couple of providers (Wellness Professionals at Work and the British School of Coaching), but as I need to be sure I'm committing to the right course I'd like to look at other appropriate courses, but as there are so many training providers I'd like recommendations from other coached.
Can anyone recommend a training provider in the UK for wellness (or life coaching which can be further specialised).
My current profession is PR/ media and plan to work as a self-employed coach (I'm currently self-employed consultant) in that industry with businesses and individuals, at least to begin with.
Many thanks

Is that an actual thing?

You've posted in academics' corner.

Not sure where the board for snake oil providers is.

Yes it's definitely a thing Smile I've got a post-grad in journalism but having seen too many people suffer burn out I want to do something more supportive. Cambridge University now runs life coaching undergrad and post-grad courses, so the profession has come a long way over the years.

It's not a degree and it's an online course

Papayalady · 24/04/2019 20:06

I sent the wrong link. Here's the undergrad certificate in caching. www.ice.cam.ac.uk/course/undergraduate-certificate-coaching.
There's one for post-grad too. They're both professional qualifications.
I haven't found a degree in life coaching unless it's wound in with psychotherapy, etc. However, Cambridge wouldn't offer a course if it wasn't in demand and a decent quality course content.

What's with the patronising comments? Hmm Wellness/life coaching is hugely popular right now. My friend did a local course and really enjoyed it. No advice @Papayalady but good luck!

Thank you, Newjob19!!
I have ME so I'm used to people saying insensitive things about matters they don't understand Wink
I think many people are ignorant of the fact the wellness coaching is growing in demand by corporates and educational establishments as people are increasingly suffering from stress-related illnesses. The mental health charities are pumping out the stats constantly to back this up.
And many experienced counsellors and therapists are training in wellness coaching actually.
Out of curiosity @Newjob19, where did your friend do her course?
