I feel suddenly at a loss. This is my first book, and I submitted the finished manuscript yesterday, to go through to press review. Realistically, what might I expect now?
Friends I've chatted to have all published their PhDs as first books. None of them has been denied publication once they had a contract (does this happen?). A couple had substantial changes to make, and the rest, more minor changes.
Anyone feel like reassuring me I won't suddenly be cast out into the darkness without a contract or a book, please go ahead!
