Starting a new career

Hi

I've spent my career working in sales until recently. I'm now considering moving into the HR field and would be grateful for some advice.
I've essentially become fed up working super long hours in sales.
I've been researching different career options and I believe I have transferable skills to be an HR manager once qualified.

I'd appreciate advice from anyone who currently works in HR on how I can get started. I've enrolled on a CIPD Level 3 Diploma and I'm currently looking for jobs. So if you have tips on what recruiters are looking for and types of roles would be a good start for someone without experience in the field that would be great.
