So, I have had a USS pension since I joined academia in 2006. I moved to an institution with the TPS in 2007, but at that time my USS pension was better so I kept it (e.g. cheaper/higher institutional contribution). However, since all of the changes to the USS pension, I'm not sure if I would be better to keep my USS pension or to switch to the TPS. I really do not understand which would be better, and I guess which is less likely to change for the worse in the future. I know that is crystal ball gazing, but if ANYONE has any understanding/expertise/advice, please do let me know. Thanks!
