I’m feeling slightly sorry for myself as I have failed my first assignment on my research masters. I know I don’t have the basic knowledge to properly critique papers as my feedback was that I didn’t do this well and that I didn’t answer my question 
My main issues are interpreting quantitive data and constructing a good critique rather than a descriptive essay.
Are there any books that explain critiquing papers or how to identify what type of studies and the language of research that you clever folks would recommend?
I feel rather overwhelmed and don’t know where to go next! My mark was 45% so not a total disaster.
