Part-time in two institutions

This is probably a very stupid question but I am so stressed I cannot think properly!

Is it possible to take a 50% position in one University and another 50% in another one? Or 75/25?
Are there any implications/complications to this?

Thanks!

Yes. I know plenty that do it. They just have to make sure that they have a Flexible Working agreement (or similar) in place for timetable purposes. So, for example, all teaching scheduled for Monday-Wednesday am at institution A and all teaching scheduled for Wednesday pm-Friday at institution B.

I suppose the disadvantages are logistical- timetables etc but if that is not a problem then two part-time jobs are fine. I don't really get the question- it depends on the type of job and if the institutions are happy to have the amount allocated (or you get two compatible jobs).

Thanks

@Orchiddingme - yes it was odd question I know.

The story behind is that my PI is moving. I cannot go with him but I really want to continue in the project so I am wondering if I could 'transfer part-time' and keep the other 50% at my current institution (there is an available position to do this)
