| posted in employment issues yesterday but am trying here today as no replies. I work in a clinical role in the NHS and am applying for a part time role at a university (related to my NHS role) which involves co-ordinating student placements etc and some teaching. Apart from having students in the workplace I have no teaching experience and I need to write a 500 word statement detailing my aspirations to enhance the teaching and student experience. I don't know where to start, can anyone give me any pointers please?

Look at the new NMC standards for nursing - that's the current hot topic. Think about the challenges and opportunities that will bring. Particularly the new placement assessment standards and the newly defined roles

Ooooh, thank you. Application has gone in but if I do get shortlisted for an interview I've got somewhere to start reading!
