Would academics reply to non-urgent emails during Easter hols?

Just asking as I sent some PhD application queries to a few academics at what I now realise was the start of Easter hols 2-3 weeks ago. Still waiting for couple of replies and just wondering when I should follow up.

They might be away/spending time with family etc. I’d wait.

Many/most academics are not on "holiday" but catching up with their research during the break from teaching. This means that they could be away from campus at conferences or on field work/with collaborators and that they could be postponing admin work until they return.

I would think next week would be fine to follow up. Most of my colleagues are away/out of action but we are starting again next week. I answer emails though unless I've designated a holiday period. I obviously put the fear of God into my students before the break though not to contact me as more or less none did this year!

I would not respond to that type of enquiry during Easter, but I would have a bounce back explaining when I would be back at work and attending to usual business.
I would not be offended by a follow up email or even remember that you had emailed me during the Easter holidays, IYSWIM

If I'd taken leave of course not. If not I'd reply yes but you'd be added to my to do list.
