Getting published

Hi I hope someone can help. My friend has recently lost her husband in a terrible accident. In part, for his memory and partly to help with her grief she has been writing powerful poetry. She is keen to get this published. Does anyone know the best way to approach this or who I could contact? Thanks in advance?

Hi Minime, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I only know about academic publishing, it might be worth posting this additionally in Chat or even AIBU to see if anyone else has any ideas. Realistically, I would imagine she could self-publish, the world of paying for poems by book companies is probably a pretty scarce and competitive one, which your bereaved friend may find very difficult. I am by no means an expert though.
