HEA Fellowship

Hi,
Do any of you have HEA Fellowship? I am thinking of applying for the associate fellowship and just considering whether it is worthwhile. I am also trying to figure out how much detail is required in the application.
Thanks!

I had a similar question (but not about the details of application) and got some answers a month or so ago. See this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/academics_corner/3049022-Is-having-a-Higher-Education-Academy-Fellowship-important

@fuffapster Thanks! Did you go for fellowship or associate fellowship?

I’d say you would be better to go for fellowship although associate will be quicker / less to do.

I have this and could advise you further if you want. It does require some work, although the associate is less as you cover two of the five sections, whilst for fellowship you write around 3000 words for 5 sections in total.
You will also need two referees to speak on your behalf, and write a supporting reference.

No I haven't, though I'm now applying for a job that mentions it specifically.
One problem is that I don't know anyone who has one already, which is needed for the reference.

Have you tried asking the HEA for suggestions re refs in that situation. I live chatted them today as writing a supporting statement for someone and they were really helpful.
I have Fellowship and would opt for that as many jobs are asking for it.
