Looking for a qual research job

Hi all,

I'm an academic, been lecturing for a few years in a very teaching focused institution but I'd like to go back to research. I know it is a drop in pay, but I honestly was much happier doing research projects than I am now. I have experience in qualitative research, 4 years. Of course there's the usual jobs.ac.uk route but are there any other avenues to getting back into this? Does anyone know from experience? I am aware generally the contracts are short and so on - that is okay, but it would absolutely have to be salaried (I know some of these things aren't so and that would be impossible for me financially). I also am led to believe there is less demand for qual than quant but I can but try. Any suggestions would be greatly received!

Thank you :)

What about qual research in a market or social research agency? Permanent and I'm sure the money is better. I'm not in the uk so can't suggest any agencies but have a look at the market research society website
