What's going on with Palgrave Macmillan?

I've been hearing rumours that all is not well behind the scenes at Palgrave Macmillan. A group of rather senior editors seem to have left/been made redundant recently.

Do any of you have the back story?

Thanks in advance.

They're my publishers. They were taken over by Springer late last year/this year (like Ashgate was taken over by Routledge/Taylor & Francis). They relocated the offices to London, so maybe people didn't want to commute? But maybe the academic stuff is being cut back - that didn't seem to be the case when I had a campus meeting with the senior commissioning editor in my field - who was keen to sign up all sorts of stuff from me & colleagues.
