Hi,

I was wondering if there are any OU Associate Lecturers out there who could help? I've got an interview in a few weeks time and wanted some advice please. Thanks!

I am not one, but know a couple. One thing that makes the OU distinctive is that you need to be good with technology, so managing online seminars, and be responsive to students, as they can't see you in person. If you are organized, approchable and know the material well (once you get the job) you will do fine. It's not a good job for the disorganized fly by the seat of their pants type of academic.

Thank you TheWindIn! I feel like I'll be a good match hopefully.

Is there anyone else out there who is an OU staff/PhD student? I had a specific question. You can DM me if you prefer. Thanks! :)
