Helping a poster over on piston heads who is desperately trying to find his sister, Mary who went missing on Friday. This hasn't yet made national news so he is appealing for anyone who may have seen her either in the Kendal area, Loch Doon area or anywhere else. This is uncharacteristic of Mary and family are worried.
Hopefully this will pick up nationally soon, but in the meantime if people could share this or consider if they may have seen Mary it might be helpful.
Statement from Police Scotland
Officers are appealing for the help of the public to trace a 49-year-old woman reported missing from Cumbria who is believed to have travelled by car to Scotland.
Mary Monkman (pictured below), from Kendal, was last seen around 7am on Friday, 16 June, in the town.
Enquiries suggest she travelled in her red Nissan Juke, registration L400 MGM to the west bank of Loch Doon in Ayrshire.
She is described as around 5ft 10ins with long, wavy auburn hair which she often wears in a bun. Mary also wears glasses. She is wearing a green and white floral top and blue leggings, as pictured.
Chief Inspector Alison Wilson said: “Mary has not been reported missing before and concerns are growing for her welfare.
“I am asking anyone who has seen Mary or might know where she is to get in touch. If Mary hears about this appeal then I would encourage her to contact us or her family so we know she is safe and well.
“We believe that Mary drove past the Roundhouse Café at the north end of the loch and south past Loch Doon Castle. I would ask anyone who was in the area in recent days to check their dash-cam. Likewise, anyone walking in the area and who may have seen Mary should make contact with us.”

Is there a police appeal anywhere? He should post on Web Sleuths or if you share the link to the official appeal, I can post for you.
Does he know anything about what her day was like before she went missing? She almost looks in that photo like she’s going for a walk somewhere with her rucksack, but clothes/footwear don’t really look suitable for walking.
