I used a particular website to order some items ahead of dd1's party. Two small items I ordered were apparently out of stock so they replaced them with something else without checking whether or not this item would have been wanted. The order arrived on time and the items I did want were totally fine- am pleased with them. but these two small items were not there, just something i did not want. They did not answer the phone so i emailed to say could they refund me for the 2 items i had ordered but not received or sned me these items. they said they would refund the cost of hte items if i sent them back. i think they should give me the cost of the postage. I actually think tehy are being v petty re asking for them back (postage will cost virtuall as much as the cost ofthe items) and they are losing my goodwill. Should i name and shame them and then leave it at that? why should i lose out because they got the order wrong? WWYD?

Er they have to refund you for items not sent and then they have to arrange to pick up 'unsolicited goods' - you do not have to pay for them to be sent back.

thank you laurie. is this the law? how can i persuade them that is their obligation?

suddenly they are refunding me and do not wish to dispatch a courier to collec the items! and they reckon they emailed me about it before i told them about teh DSRs. mmmm. never mind, their stuff is good so i'll let it go! hope they have learned a lesson though.
