My mum wants to take DD on holiday

Next saturday my mum, sister BIL and nephew are off on a camping holiday. DH, DD and I are travelling down on wednesday to join them for 5 days. My mum has asked if she can take DD with her on saturday so she can have a longer holiday. (we are only going for 5 days as we are a bit skint). DD will be 4yo in 4 weeks.

Would you let your DD go away for 4 nights without you at this age? She goes for a sleep over most weekends with my mum and they are very close. My main concern is that DD will be excited at first but will want me and DH after a couple of days. We are going down to devon from the north west so I can't just nip and get her if she wants me to. Am I being too precious and worrying about nothing?

Thanks

Yes! Dd stayed with my mum for 5 days last year, when dd was 4. She had a wonderful time.

She was a 2.5hr drive away from us, and although I had pangs of guilt when I left her, I knew she would be fine.
