I dont know if Im being silly or not. Bought my daughter a mobile phone sock today with her name on, they were BOGOF but didnt have her friends name so I bought another one which said 'text maniac '. Its her 11th birthday soon and thought it could be an extra pressie for her. Since Ive come home Im wondering if its appropriate-does it sound too much like sex maniac ?

I doubt very much that will even cross her mind TBH!

Was wondering more about her parents really !

I don't think the similarity would occur to most people. If they do question it then just act shocked and say "Oh gosh, you're right, I never thought of that!"

After all it's not like "sex maniac" is a particularly common phrase, no more common than something like "football maniac" surely?

It won't cross the child's mind, obviously (or I hope not ) but it clearly is meant as a reference to sex maniac, isn't it?

If the parents say anything, look suitably shocked and like bertie says, say it never occured to you.
