Tuesday night - woke up with horribly painful blocked duct.
Wednesday - Mastitis - fluey and in a lot of pain. Feeding ds like crazy to shift it. Milk out of infected duct brownish (blood or pus?)
Thursday - bought some Amoxycillin at chemist (am outside UK) and advised to take every 8 hours. Forgot to ask how long to take them for.
Am feeling a lot better today. Boob is still very red and quite painful, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Am not fluey any more. Lump in boob almost gone. Blocked duct still producing slightly odd coloured milk but much improved.
Am I on the mend and will probably be better by tomorrow?
Or should I start on the antibiotics at this late stage?
What would you do?
