Cheryl's Parachute - just a heap of crumpled nylon?

Everytime I hear this song, I can't help thinking that Cheryl sounds like a cut-price Rihanna. Then I think that Rihanna would sing this song sooo much better, make it sound sharper. Then I realise that Rihanna would probably have turned it down for being such a limp heap of passive, helpless crap.

Parachute is too annoying for words .

And I'm not even very keen on Rihanna, either.

It is absolute shite.

I just dislike everything that is Planet Cheryl.

Don't even get me started on that annoying Pantene advert. Geordie accents aren't cut out for things like that. She sounds common.

She has no talent. None. She must be wearing one of thse magic cloaks from Harry Potter except her cloak makes everyone think she's a musical genius.

I don't think anyone thinks Cheryl Cole is a musical genius. And I like Girls Aloud.

Rihanna is actually more annoying, because she's just as rubbish but really believes that wearing edgy fashion means she has some musical integrity.

Cheryl's music is absolute shite. It's like the worst Britney Spears-circa-2001 reject fluff. She must know this, surely? She can't actually listen to this shit and think 'Tune!'. No way. Unless that barmy Will.I.Am has persuaded her she is the next Mariah...

Rihanna's voice is hideously jarring, but she has got more spunk and more of an original look than Cheryl (which is what it's all based on, isn't it? Celebrity status and styling, not good voices/songs).

I can't stand Rihanna's voice - really nasal and grating.

I think it is post traumatic stress disorder related from when Umber-ella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh was number 1 for 87 weeks a couple of years back.

Good old Cheryl. I heard her on teh Live Lounge on the radio doing an acoustic version of Fireflies. She really is a useless singer bless her. She gets away with it because she has really cute dimples I reckon.

I always hated those nobs who carried NME around with them just to show how cred they were but now I don't know... maybe they had a point.

When we first heard the lyrics me and dd were in absolute hysterics - its utter utter shoite.

Sometimes I weaken and think that it must be tough for singing a song about being able to rely on your man to catch you...when the headlines are all about Ashley's little indiscretions.

But then the moment passes and I realise that she shouldn't agree to sing such twaddle in the first place.
