hehehe
she has a point thought... b ut she doenst have to fit excercise around celaning etc

Maggie00 · 19/03/2010 18:25

She's right about muscle memory! I did a ymca fitness trainer course years ago. Have forgotten most of it, but that rings a bell!

She looks great obviously, but If anybody did an hour of intensive exercise every day they'd get a great body soon. But who minds the baby??? that is the regular non sleb's problem.

tartyhighheels · 19/03/2010 18:27

smug trollope!

the thing with slebs is that the determination it takes to get to the top, and the character required to stay there makes getting back into shape after a baby look very simple in comparison - especially when your entire sleb status depends on your body

i am sure with a huge amount of staff and personal trainer etc we could all have a crack at it - i don't go to the gym or running becuase i have a baby to look after and another two for school and after school activited and i am not bionic - ie. i am not the priority, they are.

hey, if kerry katona can get in shape there is hope for us all eh?

justallovertheplace · 19/03/2010 18:28

Lots of Giselle hate here. I remember the thread last time slating her for having a good birth experience. I am far more about her comments about her stepson- if I were his mother I would find them very hurtful

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 19/03/2010 18:37

oh I know - her body is her tool and all that... but why does she imagine we want a lecture about treating our bodies like 'garbage disposal' units?

OP posts:
fuzzywuzzy · 19/03/2010 18:43

She just comes across really badly;

The comments she made about being the mother of her step son- well no actually he has a mother already

Claiming most women go wrong because they treat their bodies like garbage disposals- no we all have different bodies, I think our genes play a huge factor in how easily we can manage our weight, some of us are naturally skinny...

Her eight hour birth didnt hurt- well thats marvellous for her, my second birth hurt so much I wanted to rip my own head off to distract myself from the agony!

She's just so uncompromisingly smug.........

trice · 19/03/2010 18:43

She is right to get fit again post birth, it shows will power and commitment. Good for her.

But she is in a very privileged position and it wouldn't hurt for her to acknowledge that a little more. Not everyone has personal trainers and fancy gyms and childcare.

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 19/03/2010 18:48

if i was getting papped everytime I farted and was also get paid a gazillion pounds for photos of my good self, then maybe I'd do the personal trainer/gym/diet-thing and then tell everyone about it in a preachy way.

but I'm not

and I haven't

but i'm also thinking that i just wouldn't anyway...

I always thought bonding with my babies was more important than me getting back into shape five minutes after they were born. But hey, we all have different priorities...

thedollshouse · 19/03/2010 19:07

She does come across as being very smug. Not the sort of person you would want as a friend.

AliGrylls · 19/03/2010 19:15

What you forget is that she probably has a nanny to look after the baby so she can do all the exercise, a nutritionist so that she does not have to think about her meals and a night nurse so that she has energy for her workouts.

I don't believe for one minute that she has achieved it purely on her own. It is impossible.

cyb · 19/03/2010 20:56

she looks great. As does Stephanie Seymour frolicking on the beach in her yellow 2 piece . She looks fab too. She is, as the Dm tells '40' and has 'some cellulite on her bottom'

squeaver · 19/03/2010 21:01

Do you reckon they have a spreadsheet on celebs body failings in minute detail?

S Seymour - cellulite on arse

K Moss - wrinkles around mouth

K Winslet - post divorce extreme weight loss

squeaver · 19/03/2010 21:01

Michele Keegan - cold sore, nose.

cyb · 19/03/2010 21:03

oh god yes I saw the grim close ups of some z lister actress's scaly cold sore nose.

Barrells being scraped

squeaver · 19/03/2010 21:03

Daisy Lowe - spots

Christ I must get off that bloody site

cyb · 19/03/2010 21:08

I loathe it and love it in equal measure.

winnybella · 19/03/2010 21:17

My friend knew her quite well and apparently she's v.nice (well, that was good 8-10 years ago).
I think it's more her sort of naive way of expressing herself than real smugness.
And at least she's admitting to exercising a lot as opposed to some celebs trying to make us believe thay lost all the weight in 4 weeks without any effort at all.

cyteen · 19/03/2010 21:27

It pisses me off more that the fucking Mail insists, along with every other shitrag under the sun, on using phrases like 'snapped back into shape' and 'got her figure back instantly'. She didn't do either of those things - she worked her fucking arse off, literally.

Just another way to convey the message that us poor plebs are not worthy to lick those shiny superhumans' Manolos. Fuck the Daily Mail up its clenched, rigid backside.

bluecardi · 19/03/2010 21:32

Kung fu - lol
