DD sick on the day of her birthday party, what now?

Okay so this is hypothetical at the moment but DD2 has just come down with a 'non-specific' virus (fever/runny nose), which DD1 may well catch, which would mean she'd be ill on the day of her 3rd birthday. We have a party planned, a hall rented, 13 children invited. If she is ill on the day, what on earth do I do???

(I am so worried because she's been talking about nothing else but her party for the last 4 weeks!!!)

When is the party? I'm sure she'll be fine

Depends how bad she is, if not too bad, give her calpol and let her enjoy it. How long is it? Two hours won't kill her.
I'll probably get flamed for this.

Two hours, it's on Sunday. She tends to get febrile convulsions so if she has a temperature at all I don't want her to run around... so I was thinking I might still go ahead with the party but only let her go for the last half hour or so to do the birthday cake. Oh god I do hope this all remains hypothetical...

My DCs birthdays are 2 yrs and 5 days apart so they shared a party when they were little. For DD 4TH\DS 6th party they both managed to get some sort of virus between them. They had 4 febrile convulsions between them in 2 weeks, my nerves were wrecked. DD's had a fc the night before the party.

I dosed her up with calpol and nuerofen and she was fine for the party except discovered half way through she had no knickers on
