going to a reunion

and one of the ladies there has a husband who was in the papers a few years ago because of his indiscretions.

So what I want to know is.......... we haven't seen each other for 20+ years, it was very public and she was in papers too, do we mention it or is it like Fawlty Towers and we "don't mention the war!"??

advice please, never been in this situation before (thankfully)
