MIL's Fiance (let's call him F) has just been given another grandchild but the poor baby is in a bad way. He was transfered yesterday to a specialist hospital and has had surgery today. I know tF well - my DCs don't call him Grandad but he's as good as. I've met his daughter and her husband once or twice.

Can i send them a card saying that we are thinking of them and wish the baby a speedy recovery etc? And can I send a card to F too? And if so, should i address it just to F or to F and MIL?

TIA

Quite confused by the logistics - but yes, two cards. One thinking of you at this time to F and one to the parents with wishing baby speedy recovery etc.

it is confusing isn't it? DH's side of the family has always been a tad disfunctional
