You just hover over the message and click on hide and it offers you the choice to block either the person or the farmville/fishville/bollocksville.

Am disproportionately happy.

Oh, yes, only discovered this the other day. Have now blocked my cousin's husband Added in error as they share an email address . Despairs

I was so glad when i discovered that hide button! I have a few friends that do every application going, block them as soon as they appear but there are new ones everyday!!
