Working from home........

So heres the thing. My DH has applied for information relating to working from home and the information has come through. Now, I straight away said, total waste of time etc but he really wants to give it a try. I have read the information and its basically filling envelopes and posting out BUT you have to pay an initial fee of £25, which they then apparently refund to you when you have completed your first 100 envelopes. The fee apparently is to ensure that you are serious about doing the work and not time-wasting. So my question is: am I right and a total waste of time and they are just trying to rip him off, OR is it worth a go?

Oh, no, please don't do any of these things which require an up-front payment!

Why would they need to send out envelopes to be stuffed? Whose envelopes would they be, for there to be such a lot of them, and if it is a big mailer (e.g. tax office), they would have their own envelope-stuffing machines (I used one when I worked in a small legal office, and if they had one, a big organisation with a lot of post would have one).

I'm afraid this is a scam. Please don't send any money, and if anyone ever asks you to pay to work, tell them to p--- off.

Sorry if this is a disappointment.
