If you remove someone from your friends list do they get a notification? I accepted a couple of friends invitatiosn when I first set up the account from people I went to school with. Now I realise why I didn't really get on with them in the first place and np, they haven't altered a bit.

I would like to remove them so their mad rantings/utterly irrelavant postings don't come up several times a day - but I don't want to hurt their feelings either.

Do I grin and bear their (8 or 9 times in a row) MAN U R PROPER GUN N IF U DONT LIKE THEM UR A NOB postings?

No, you just go missing. You can bugger about with the settings and hide their updates though, if you go onto the home page, scroll over to the right of whatever shite it is that they have written it will say hide notifications from this twazzcok somewhere.

Delete them, life's far too short.

they don't get notified. If you block them though your profile dissapears from FB to them so they may think you have just left, otherwise they can search you out again and then you know deleted them, but, who cares ?

Thank feckity for that. There's some I can forgive because they normally post realy good stuff until there's a match on (and then it's just updates of the match) and others who just post 'stream of consciousness' bollocks
