A staple of the Daily Mail here
Peter Doherty looks ill - like a seriously, very poorly addict - how pale and soggy is his face? He walks into court with a load of smack on him. It's very sad.

But Jeez the glee that they've found another Oliva Channing - an attractive, un-thick, well-connected young thing. Can you imagine how her parents feel. And it's the insidious tone of her associating with someone of "Irish stock" and a rock star - the Goldsmith sparkle being tainted.

A terribly written piece - I particularly hated this bit "Friends remember her as a beautiful, slim blonde" Yeah, AS IF "friends" would describe their recently deceased, dearly beloved "friend" as a "beautiful, slim blonde"

Dire.

Doherty is such a fucking twat. What does he have to DO to get put in prison?

WinkyWinkola · 29/01/2010 14:18

I can't bear him either. He never seems to get more than a slapped wrist. He's just a mess.

HinnyPet · 31/01/2010 00:11

He's not Irish, I'm sure his family is from Up North. But yes, a total mess.

mayorquimby · 31/01/2010 22:05

jesus he's always been a mess. Great musician but what a twat

No HinnyPet - the Irish connection was with Peter Wolfe who rented the flat that she died in - he's a mate of Peter Doherty's and apparantly a contributory factor on his road to ruin. It was the Mail's use of the phrase "of Irish stock" that was a bit of a shocker in an already insensitive piece.
