Saw Kelly McGillis on with Bill and Sian this morning. She was great, very down to earth and funny.

this is what she looks like now.

this is what she looked in 1986.

For comparison, this is Madonna in 1986.

And this is Madonna now.

Kelly is 52. Madonna is 51.

I think Kelly still looks good. Obviously not as "fresh" looking as Madonna but if Kelly's all natural I think she has done very well

Those pictures of Madonna are not too bad IMO, but I get the point.

I hate the mutilated women that we see on t'telly - I would much rather the Kelly McGillis way. In general these women (and some men) just look hideously deformed and vulnerable. And when beautiful young women like Cheryl Cole think they must change their appearance with painful (sometimes mutilating) procedures, I really do despair.

Oh, and it makes me laugh a lot that Meryl Streep is supposedly an example of natural beauty. Natural, my arse.

God yes Meryl's the worst.

I just think when you see what they really should look like, it's so bloody obvious that it's not just moisturiser and lots of water.

Kelly was really good saying "I want to be a character actress and I need my wrinkles to do that."

I saw her and had no idea who she was as I missed them saying her name. Well done on no surgery tho.

I wonder what madonna really looks like. My dd 7 saw an early image of Cheryl Cole and could not believe it was her as she did not look as pretty. It really scared me how early the conditioning to look perfect kicks in!

Yes I didn't recognise her at all at first.
