had a run over the last couple of weeks with friend requests from people i went to school with - i remember some of them better than others but most of them i wouldnt recognise in a line out! The last one i went all through my entire school years with - feel like i've never seen her before in my life!

granted its 18 years since i left school (OMG i feel old!!) but i think i imagined i would recognise something about them!!

There is a woman who works in my local Post Office. I know (on a certain level) that I went to school with her, and I do recognise her but I really don't know who she is. I have heard other customers call her "Kath/Cath" but I still have no idea. You are not alone.

oh glad its not just me!! i obviously recognise people i was really friendly with but the others - no idea!! but suppose people are allowed to look different 18 years later!! and thank god - the 80s/early 90s were not a pretty time!

I met to a uni meet up, out of the "men" I think there was only one who I recognised ie who hadn't change beyond recognition. The rest just looked very very old. The women hadn't changed that much at all it was v bizarre.

I'm the same, I get these friend requests and have no idea at all who these people can be. I don't recognise them and I don't recall their names (could be changed by marriage I suppose in the case of women).

Mystifying

ZZZenAgain · 14/01/2010 20:35

I think they must be confusing me with someone ofthe same name

Dumbledoresgirl · 14/01/2010 20:36

Do you recognise the names? I was forever getting notifications on FriendsReunited that people had joined from my year at school. Now my year at school was particularly small and I feel sure I knew everyone's name yet I could not remember half the names of people who joined my year. I think they got the wrong year myself.

surely there must only be one zzzenagain!!!

i recognise the names but some of them i just ignore - i've not thought about them in 18 years so why would i want to be friends now! and the others - well once i've had a nosey at their photos i'd quite happily bump them off again!! but as long as they're not too active and fill my newsfeed then i suppose i'll let them stay!!!!

sleighgirl - i agree - i'm also getting a bit shocked by how old some of these people look - do i look that old too!!!!

they told me a still looked about 12

DillieTantie · 14/01/2010 21:04

We all still look 12 don't we?

SleighGirl · 14/01/2010 21:06

At the age of 20 I caught a bus to uni in the middle of the day I said the destination, he gave my change I was then realised he had charged me child rate, this was London and at the time it meant he though I was under 14 and I didn't even ask for child fare.
