She's loopy again

My mum has lost it!

Not for the first time. In fact she was in hospital in spring on a section. But she has always been depressed before. Now I think she's manic (despite her doctor telling me, when I asked, that she definitely wasn't bipolar).

She's talking rubbish all the time, staying up all night, trying to start fights and ordering people about. But she thinks she's fine. Apparently she feels terrific. Her contact from the hospital saw her a week or two ago and he thought she was fine, but I think he's an idiot. She was with us on Christmas day and it was a nightmare. She's spoilt Christmas for my two sisters too with her demands and incoherent texts at all hours. She's coming back to my house tomorrow. What do I do?

Can you contact her GP ?? I did this when my neighbour was on a high (she has bi-polar).

The mental health team were very rude to me and wouldn't help, but I rang the gp's surgery and just said I was concerned and gave her name and they were lovely about it.

Is she on medication? Has this changed at all recently? Might explain the behaviour, if she is not bi-polar...
Agree, ring GP. Unless your mum has a care-co-ordinator? In which case, ring them.
