Anyone elses wall posts to their friends showing up on the news feed?

Seems to be a new thing ,despite me editing the privacy settings.

They only show to people who are mutual friends of both parties (as I understand it)

(does that make it any better?)

If you want something to be private you need to send an actual message

Why not send a message instead?

I sent a message to a friend whom i have no mutual friends with and yet it was still posted on the news feed.
It was nothing very private but i just wondered why it has suddenly started happening.

You mean your own posts show up on your own news feed?

Nobody else sees that!

Have you checked out your security settings on FB? They have changed them & you need to go into them to see if they've made you more open than you used to be.

Mine have always been, & still are, that basically Only Friends can see my stuff, but I know I do see things from some Friends of Friends (esp if eg a Friend is tagged by a F of F in a pic, or if you go to that Friend's Wall you can see what some of their Fs have posted - but I think that depends on their own settings)(it is terribly complicated )

Well that'll depend on NotFriend's settings and Friend's settings, not your settings.

Whose news feed does it show up in?

Are you saying you posted something on Fred's wall and it showed up in your news feed, or that you posted something on Fred's wall and it showed up in Fred's news feed, or that you posted something on Fred's wall and it showed up in Bob's news feed?
