Joe also insisted he wouldn't blow his new-found wealth on drink and drugs.

'I have never ever done drugs. I have drunk, but I'm not a drinker. I'm quite a well-behaved person anyway. I respect my mam.'

He also reveals that he met Katie Price but there was no spark between them and says 'It would be a bit wrong, don't you think? She's quite a few years older than me.'

Mrs McElderry, if you happen to read this thread. You have raised a lovely boy there

Not sure I believe that tbh

MmeLindt · 15/12/2009 12:13

I am sure that there is a fair bit of PR going on, but he still seems very sweet.

i kind of assumed that there would be no girls for him in general

UnquietDad · 23/12/2009 00:31

He also said he didn't fancy Cheryl!

Maybe he is just being polite. She is his "teacher" after all...

I don't know any straight man who doesn't fancy Cheryl a little bit. I mean, yes, yes, we all know she is a painted trollop and a bit robotic and probably looks a right horror without the false eyelashes and the slap on, and is possibly borderline racist and really dim, but... we still would. At least, I would if Sarah and Kimberley were unavailable.

(When he won X-Factor and she whispered in his ear, DW joked that she was saying "Hilton Hotel, Joooee, room 356.")

juneybean · 23/12/2009 00:38

Dare I ask how Cheryl could be construed as racist?

UnquietDad · 23/12/2009 00:43

Well, there was all that business with the toilet attendant. I dare say it's probably all in the past though.

juneybean · 23/12/2009 00:45

Too true, but since she's married Ashley I would think otherwise?

DuelingFanjo · 23/12/2009 00:59

blimey he's BORING! Just what teenage girls want. Thankfully most grow out of it.

UnquietDad · 23/12/2009 11:16

The Ashley thing came along at just the right time for them both, in PR terms...

juneybean · 23/12/2009 14:13

I think you're onto something and I'm inclined to agree.

FolornHope · 23/12/2009 14:14

LOVE her being to old for him

BunnyLebowski · 23/12/2009 14:18

I suspect UQD is (as usual) right.

Cheryl Tweedy was in danger of losing her career over the attack on the toilet attendant.

Ashley Cole has been the subject of manys a story about less than heterosexual antics off the pitch.

The marriage helped both of them out don't you think?

UnquietDad · 23/12/2009 14:58

"Cheryl Cole" is a construct, a reinvention of "Cheryl Tweedy" of which a mere marriage certificate is only a part.

They still call her "Tweed" on the Sarah Harding fan forum
