I know he was in a car crash but there's other 'alleged' stuff that has happened in relation to this.
I haven't a clue as I don't really read the papers. Anyone wanna fill me in?

V interesting fact re J Parnevik (not sure I get it though?) Maths...?

Lulumama · 03/12/2009 20:45

yes, i did wonder why she chose to rescue him from the car by smashing the window in with a golf club all becomes clear

shame, he has turned out to be cheap and nasty despite the £££££ (allegedly)

neenz · 03/12/2009 20:52

Yeah they didn't quite get the PR right did they? Er, why didn't you just open the door, love? Oh, cos smashing the window with a golf club was much quicker

It's such a shame - can't any of them keep it in their pants?!

They can't help themselves

Re the PR, I thought this was interesting (from Popbitch)

Keen observers of tabloids and celebrity magazines can look on the Tiger Woods affair as a textbook case of how to smoke out the story of an affair.

  1. The stalking horse
Magazine reveals, through un-named sources, a plausible candidate. The Stalking Horse, Rachel Uchitel in this case, is sent out to deny accusations of rumours. She can always change her tune later if she wants. This is themedia testing the waters - will this bring anyone else into the open looking for a payday?
  1. The reaction
The celebrity wins if he and his wife hold out for a few days looking together and calm. (The Beckhams did this perfectly.) But if any kind of reaction is sniffed out - bingo! The media war is then on. Crashing your car at 2.30am when leaving your driveway is probably as good as it gets.
  1. What happens next
If plans are changed or engagements cancelled it means the real story is about to break.
  1. The news-stand
The first girls hit pay-dirt. Sorry Tiger, there are more still pondering their next move.
squeaver · 03/12/2009 21:20

Neenz - I once read an interview with JP after he won a tournament (don't ask why I was reading it) and he said "I didn't really expect to win because I spent the first nine holes discussing a maths problem with my caddy".

So there you go.

UnquietDad · 04/12/2009 16:42

Do you think he shouts "FORE!" before, you know, starting the business with a laydee?

ChatterClausIsComingToTown · 12/12/2009 15:19

What a sick man. His poor humiliated wife. I hope she gets a mega payout and goes on to find true love with someone deserving of her.

morningpaper · 12/12/2009 15:22

Haevn't about eight people come forward?

I would just be SO ANNOYED if my husband had either mistresses - think of all the housework and childcare he could have done instead! Grrr

morningpaper · 12/12/2009 15:23

EIGHT mistresses

not either

although either would be annoying too

Alarmbellsring · 12/12/2009 15:25

She is staying with him, for the sake of the kids - what a great lesson to be teaching your children

traceybath · 12/12/2009 15:26

Apparently there is another big sportstar whose been having an affair for a year thats soon to be exposed.

Believe I read that in scurrilous Holy Moly email.

I predict Tiger's wife will leave him in a year or so but will stay with him for the imminent future to secure all his endorsements/her settlement.

SausageRocket · 12/12/2009 15:28

Didn't he go a bit bonkers after his dad died ? I know that's not an excuse and I'm not trying to use it as one, but he did go off the rails a bit when he lost his dad, perhaps the affairs were part of that ?

I dunno. Either way, I'm not a fan of his, never have been really (don't like golf and he always seemed a bit dull anyway), he shouldn't have done it and he and his wife should be left alone to sort it out. Whether that means her stoving his head in with a Callaway Big Bertha or them giving it another go.

wannaBe · 12/12/2009 15:31

well he is obviously a shit. but...

Smashing car window with a golf club, and apparently throwing his mobile phone at him knocking out one of his front teeth (aledgedly) isn't on either.

If the situation was reversed and a man did this to his wife who he found out was cheating would peple be condoning that? I think not.

ChatterClausIsComingToTown · 12/12/2009 15:32

How on earth you could forgive him? I just don't know. To be cheated on with multiple women (including a porn star! ). There could be no way back for me. I just could never look at him the same way again. Regardless of his mega bucks.

FabIsVeryFestive · 12/12/2009 15:32

She is staying with him.

traceybath · 12/12/2009 15:39

Is she not very private anyway - doesn't do interviews etc so she's hardly going to tell anyone what she plans long term.

If I were her then I'd probably stay with him in the interim - I doubt if he told her the whole truth to begin with.

However I could not cope with people feeling sorry for me - too much pride. And of course would be utterly devestated at what he'd done.

Silly, silly man and also incredibly arrogant to not think he'd get found out.

MrsMattie · 12/12/2009 15:48

A load of stuff about him paying 10 grand a pop for 'high class' prozzers in the papers today.

His wife is barmy.

I'd leave the bastard and take half his cash-money-greens with me...

FabIsVeryFestive · 12/12/2009 15:54

It has been well documented that she is a child of divorced parents and she doesn't want that for her children. They are babies fgs, not even at school. What is wrong with him?! Immature twat.

MrsMattie · 12/12/2009 15:57

What does she want? To stay with a serial shagger who plays away when she is pregnant (which is one of the claims knocking about)? He obviously has zero respect for her.

Sounds like power and wealth and fame have totally gone to his head. No doubt he will check into a 'sexual addiction' clinic and sob his heart out on Oprah. Prick.

morningpaper · 12/12/2009 16:17

She is staying with him, for the sake of the kids - what a great lesson to be teaching your children

Not EVERY person in the world demands sexual fidelity as the be-all-and-end-all of a marriage. There is a lot more to a relationship than that. Just ask Hillary Clinton.

ChatterClausIsComingToTown · 12/12/2009 16:36

Most people would expect their husband not to potentially expose them to STDs though. One of the tabloids this week was running with that angle and raising the question of whether he has placed his wife at risk.

whifflegarden · 12/12/2009 17:06

For me, the thing that's totally unpalatable is that these aren't just flings. Some are long term affairs. And no...his dad's death is no excuse as some started before.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/12/2009 17:18

She has been seen recently buying property in Sweden, in her name only.

Alarmbellsring · 12/12/2009 17:20

I would imagine though morningpaper, that if sexual infidelity was to be allowed within the marriage, it would be discussed first and consented to by both parties, not just the horny one. And for it to be a private agreement, not one to be dragged throught the media.

Like I said - not a good lesson to teach your children
