Cheryl Cole - National Treasure?!

Some "sleb" the other day gushed that Cheryl Cole was a "National Treasure". Now, i've got nothing against the girl but could not think why she would be a NT or what everyone sees in her - am I missing something or just not "down with the kids"?

I can't bear her. Some of my work colleagues go on about her as if she is the Messiah. Fortunately I don't watch ITV so I rarely stumble across her "in the flesh" as it were, and I have stopped buying magazines.
