so wrong

SetSquare · 21/07/2009 14:30

i think i haev a direct line to the DM

sazzerbear · 21/07/2009 14:33

Ooh that picture was not good! She looks grey!

PestoSchoolsOutMonster · 21/07/2009 14:37

Not such a good advert for Olay then?

KingRolo · 21/07/2009 14:41

She's 48, has no makeup on and has been papped while chewing a wasp.

Of course she looks shit.

I bet she's been tinted grey too to make the story bitchier.

PestoSchoolsOutMonster · 21/07/2009 14:41

And, how come she's advertising for Olay when previously all she did was positively rave about her Eve Lom products. How Martin used to buy her them for Christmas etc etc....

BitOfFun · 21/07/2009 14:43

She'd not whinging about being tired in the article though, it is just the Mail being unable to refrain from bitchiness and an excuse to show a photo of a woman looking OLD and WRINKLY and like she should STAY INDOORS FOREVER now like all women over 40 whose breasts and genitals are going to shrivel up and drop off as detailed in Our Latest Female Health Scare For Working Mothers. Or something.

sazzerbear · 21/07/2009 14:44

She's advertising Olay because she can't get any other work, bet she wished she'd kept hold of her GMTV job!

samja · 21/07/2009 14:46

You lot are worse than the DM.

BitOfFun · 21/07/2009 14:55

Erm, aren't you one of the "lot" if you are on MN though? Not everybody has one shared opinion on here you know. We do like to pass the brain cell around and take turns with it you know!

samja · 21/07/2009 15:00

If l happened to agree with some of the nasty remarks being made, I might have said "us lot are worse than the daily mail", yes.

MN takes in a plethora of opinion, I agree.

I'm not referring to mumsnet in general...

KingRolo · 21/07/2009 15:05

Similar story about Sarah Kennedy here

But she is accused of being orange not grey.

The Daily Shitebag is not a friend of the older (i.e. over 25) lady.

Cleanitlikebanksysmaid · 21/07/2009 15:10

Eeek is that really Sarah Kennedy of "Game for a laugh" fame.....how long ago was that show??? I feel old now, because the last time I saw her she looked like this

SetSquare · 21/07/2009 15:12

mate of mine worked with her, he swore she ISNT an alkerhorlic,

SusieDerkins · 21/07/2009 15:13

Fiona Philips's facial expressions make her look like she's always in the middle of a really good whine

pagwatch · 21/07/2009 15:15

I listened to her on 5live a while ago . She has had a pretty tough time and is still trying to help her father. Her mother died after having alzheimers and now her father has it which must be crushing. And she had her children in the meantime.

I suspect that care for her father is not easy or cheap ( given my brothers experiences caring for his FIL). So if she wants to make a few quid giving interviews I will not begrudge her.

I only had DS2's SN to cope with whilst looking after my other DCs and at times I looked someone had hit me with a bucket of shite

specialmagiclady · 21/07/2009 15:22

Ooh - I used to work with "new girl" (She's been doing since January FFS how out-of-it do I feel??)

She's quite terrifyingly pretty IRL. I think if I were Kate Garraway or Fiona Phillips I'd feel a teensy bit threatened.

I'm feeling really shit because other person from that crew that used to work with is now comedy writer.

Sobs. Am total failure blah blah blah

BitOfFun · 21/07/2009 15:27

Ah, but you have children, which is a woman's true calling, and will not end up to be a bitter old harridan crying that she never found real satisfaction as a woman, don't you know. According to the Daily Mail anyway.

specialmagiclady · 21/07/2009 17:22

Weeps that never found true satisfaction as a Person.

BitOfFun · 21/07/2009 17:40

Oh join the club matey- I have been a disappointment to myself for years now

specialmagiclady · 21/07/2009 20:49

Ho hum - pass the cooking sherry!
