woudl you go swimming if you are having a period

oh please no no no - nasty trickle down leg will cause years of embarrassment.
Tampons or no swimming that is the only choice.
I remember in my early menstruating days thinking my period had ended over night as there was nothing on the pad in the morning and much to my horror when I got out of the car an hour later there was a big soggy mess. We were travelling to my grandparents and I had to get out a change of clothes and change in the toilet on a ferry. Mortifying - I still cringe thinking about it and that was 20 odd years ago!
