...if you 'accidently' spent £102 at the Laura Mercier counter?

OK, not quite accidentally, but I have never bought makeup before and wanted something to cover up some red patches.

I let the assistant try some things out on me - and it does look amazing - and was a bit swept up in it all and spent £102.

DH is going to be furious and I feel totally guilty now. We can't really afford it. I haven't opened anything - should I take it back?

whoopsididitagain - your 19.28 post made me laugh out loud.

The Laura mercier camoflage/concealer is fan-bloody-tastic. NOT any good for under eyes but is my mainstay, cannot leave home without item for my dodgy skin.
It lasts months and months. Actually I threw away the last one and bought because it was looking old but still had more than half left..
I would keep the concealer andtake everything else back. But I have crap skin and it is essential

make up is essential i love it im a bit hooked at the mo i reckon i have spent about a grand in the last twelve months but i have had a divoirce settlement to spend very unwisely after i was sensible lol

Whoops - thank you for pointing out I could have spent that much more! LOL

I'm going back 1st thing after school drop today and definitely taking back cleanser and primer.

Which leaves the concealer and the brush - am considering returning those and getting a Space NK Light Effects brush, which would be slightly cheaper than the camouflage and brush from LM.

Anyone used the Space NK version?

glad to help

JustFiveMoreMinutes · 03/06/2009 08:15

I wish I could spend that much without fearing the wrath of DH! Of course, if I had a job it might be different...

For now, I think for the sake of £7 I'm keeping the LM concealer and brush, and forgetting about the Space one.

Thank you for helping me through Indecisive Week!

Well, I have been pondering Laura Mercier for some time, but they do not sell it here in Sweden. When I returned to the UK a few weeks ago I couldn't find it ooop north, nor did they have it at Heathrow.

Sooooooooooo, if they won't let you return it, and it's the right shade, perhaps you could sell it to me?

JustFiveMoreMinutes · 03/06/2009 17:40

Mrs Mills - they took everything back. If you know what you need, I'd be happy to do your shopping and send it to you.
