Or rather what should I do, as I'm not giving it to you!

£150 worth of ideas please! I've been not spending money for ages (no job ) and so I don't really know what I want, hence havin money instead of gifts.

'with you' in what way?

I should recommend that to my friend who has just moved to Haywards Heath.

It does sound lovely. Shame it's the opposite side of London to me

No-one else wants to help me spend money? Fine, I'll be off to Style&Beauty, they can help me get a nice dress or two. But what else does one do to spend money on oneself? Makeup? Books? Posh food?

[snurk at ponceyness of 'oneself']

pavlovthecat · 01/06/2009 18:55

TrillianAstra · 01/06/2009 18:58

Um, think I'll hang onto it for now thanks.

You can post links here if you have good ideas...

It's true, no-one reads WWYD. I thought everyone used Active like me but apparently you all go straight to AIBU.

Thanks by the way Hecate - I can't decide if to get things, or go somewhere. DP took me to the zoo yesterday

Hello Trillian! I thought I'd take look at WWYD, it is quiet isn't it?

£150 eh?

Make-up for sure. Benefit counter for some That Gal and Ooh La Lift as I ran out ages ago.

Amazon for all the books in my basket I keep saving later.

Lakeland! I need some nice pans, pizza cooking tray and storage for pasta and spices.

Anything you keep putting off buying that would actually make daily life easier even if people would think that you bought it with birthday money?

LovelyRitaMeterMaid · 02/06/2009 12:26

I would buy some books without agonising about whether I should or not.

I would have a manicure and a pedicure.

And some lovely bath and shower stuff.

And would hopefully have a bit to save for later

TrillianAstra · 02/06/2009 12:42

Lakeland is a good idea Wasting, I'd really love to be one of those women with pretty jars for their pasta and rice and lentils and things. Need to put up some shelves in the kitchen for that to really work though, so would have to consult with landlord!

I will head over to Amazon at some point, but a friend is moving house and is giving me all the random books she has found and doesn't want to take with her so it feel wrong to buy books right now. (Silly me, that's what this money is for).

I will head over to S&B and start some threads on clothes/makeup to buy too!

If you're in the market for makeup, I have £102 worth of Laura Mercier I'm looking to return!

lljkk · 02/06/2009 19:19

I'd get some decent new clothes.
Since it's been years since I bought any decent new clothes, lol.
I guess I'd say, get / buy something you haven't had in years.

TrillianAstra · 03/06/2009 09:48

Have posted on Style and Beauty to ask abou clothes, but I might just have to go to RL shops and wander around them. Trouble is last time I went in I didn't see anything I liked very much, although it might be different now I am actually looking.
