He looks like an anorexic tramp to me.

I like his music but as for any dirty thoughts. Erm nope

flufflybabyhead · 10/05/2009 12:28

he really winds me up, seems humourless now

AnathemaDevice · 10/05/2009 16:00

I love Jarvis, I've wanted to marry him since I was 13.

aGalChangedHerName · 10/05/2009 16:02

Can't see it....

IDidntRaiseAThief · 10/05/2009 16:10

'To top it off, he and his band are performing impromptu soundtracks to yoga, pilates, aerobics and children's classes in the gallery'

I'm afraid I can't hear/see word 'Pilates' without sniggering.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 10/05/2009 23:42

I used to party with him when he was skinny and wore the same stinky wax Jacket every night. Haven't seen him 'properly' for years (damn growing up and becoming a parent and all) . He truly is the Poet Laureate of Yorkshire.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 10/05/2009 23:43

moondog you've been a bit twattish of late!?

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 10/05/2009 23:45

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 10/05/2009 23:48

He was part of my circle of friends in Sheffield Leeds and Manchester. Roisin Murphy and Phil Oakey too. I never think of them as 'famous'. They are just people. Who got lucky and made a living from having fun (damn them)

cheesesarnie · 10/05/2009 23:48

i like him but prefer him younger.less hairy

twinsetandpearls · 11/05/2009 00:48

I don't like the way he looks now, though he was pretty cute in the 90s. However he seems the nicest bloke ever and is from Sheff which always goes down well in my books!

I saw him in concert in Leeds years ago and thought he was amazing. DH once met him and the rest of Pulp on a train and rather liked one of the ladies in the band . Just looks abit trampy now and needs a haircut (sorry )

gegs73 · 11/05/2009 20:16

squilly - gah! What do kids know

squilly · 11/05/2009 21:04

Too right Gegs73. Mine, in particular, knows nothing. She thinks the height of cool is The Killers and The Kaiser Chiefs. HA...pretty boy pop. I knew it would come. Guess I should just be pleased it's not X Factor nonsense she's indulging in.

Our school also has showings from Richard Hawley (who's a bit country for my liking, but was in the Longpigs, which was just my favourite band ever) and the son of the manager of the Arctic Monkeys (a band dd liked for, oh, 5 minutes).

I love Sheffield. It's as close as I've ever been to name dropping (though I know it's pretty lame compared to most people) but it's just home, I ugess.

Keep telling DD how lucky she is to be born here/live here. She'll have a hell of a scene on her doorstep when the time comes (with any luck

Oh I love Jarvis (Waves "Hello" to PYBF).He used to share a house with a friend of mine and he is completely lovely apparently.Sad his marriage has broken down. After seeing him on the front of one of the colour supplements this weekend I was singing "babies"all day long, edited to avoid awkward questions from dds .

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 11/05/2009 21:48

helly - actually put the bird seed out today

dp and I instantly aged about 20 years chatting about different finches

OP posts:
hellymelly · 11/05/2009 23:04

O I am such a granny anyway that the finches hardly register. All my friends joke about it,and maybe it was funny when I was 25 with my lovely blankets and my boxes of violet creams, but now I am (cough, cough)in my blooming forties it is not so funny.I can see that in another 20 years it will be all hairy chinage and pushing a fox-terrier around in my enormous pram.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 11/05/2009 23:14

either that or still having children!!

have just ordered pocket guide to birds!
