As if a young successful actor would think of it...

I'd turn to drugs after watching the drivel he has produced.

mayorquimby · 03/04/2009 10:10

his sketch show and lesbian vampires was not great, gavin and stacey is one of the best show to hit the tv in years.
although it's not down to him as smiffy and nessa write it, and rob brydon steals the show.

southeastastra · 03/04/2009 10:14

emelda whatsherface was ill too, probably just a bug

squeaver · 03/04/2009 10:15

hmm "mild exhaustion"

FigmentOfYourImagination · 03/04/2009 10:17

can you have 'mild exhaustion' ? Surely mild exhaustion is 'tired' ?

You are either exhausted or not. Like being a bit pregnant, you either are or you aren't.

Don't all the slebs cite 'exhaustion' when they check into the Priory or that place out in the desert in the US ?

'Is he on drugs then'?

What on earth made you jump to that conclusion? He is working all the time, add the constant pressure of live shows, he'll no doubt be very tired so immune system will be low, his co-star has also taken ill.. but oh, he must be on drugs.

FFS.

TomNook · 03/04/2009 17:16

yeah right.

OP posts:
FAQinglovely · 03/04/2009 17:18

yeah right what?

The first reports I reads on it all said that his co-star was also feeling unwell.

TheSynOddOneOfWhitby · 03/04/2009 17:24

They've both clearly got the shits.

charitygirl · 03/04/2009 17:26

Why don't non-slebs ever get 'exhaustion' then?

Mind you, having said that, non-slebs take recreational drugs too and manage not to go around collapsing and pulling out of work too.

Don't mind Matthew Horne, but am LOVING the panning James Corden is getting at the mo.

sagacious · 03/04/2009 17:32

We just get tired and emotional ...

I rilly rilly don't care if he's on drugs or not.. he seems like a nice enough bloke

Agree re: Rob Brydon though he is fab

DSMaryMagdalene · 03/04/2009 17:33

Charitygirl - hey do, all the time.

pointydog · 03/04/2009 17:35

I don't know. A bit more talent would bolster him up.

charitygirl · 03/04/2009 18:31

do they DSM? I've never heard of it - unless preceded by some serious caning...or a marathon.

but whatever, he's probably got the shits.

izyboy · 03/04/2009 18:32

'exhaustion' is always the euphemism they use for celebs just before they go into rehab.

Flamesparrow · 03/04/2009 18:37

I got signed off work with exhaustion once

serenity · 03/04/2009 18:39

Leave him alone you bunch of meanies. He's tired and needs a hug

DSMaryMagdalene · 03/04/2009 18:39

Er, yeah, however most people will be call it fatigue, stress, depression, rather than exhaustion, and to be fair, will probably get on with their days. For the most part, a standard 9-5 mon-fri job isn't going to give you exhaustion.

I was off work for a month with exhaustion once, I was working 16 hour days, 7 days a week, and in the in between times travelling. Sleeping on the bus, eating and drinking as and when.

It doesn't mean you are on drugs.

lottiejenkins · 03/04/2009 22:04

I hate it when people jump to conclusions! Just because he collapses it doesnt automatically follow that he was taking drugs! People must leave very shallow lives if they have to jump to conclusions like that!!

MargaretMountford · 03/04/2009 22:07

agree with lottie - I fainted once on Victoria Station and everyone kept asking me if I was on drugs

MollieO · 03/04/2009 22:22

They haven't said what is wrong with Imelda. I'd assumed it was a case of luvvyitis - not wanting to appear on stage with an understudy!

MargaretMountford · 04/04/2009 08:43

think he just has huge stage fright and that the role is beyond him and the fact that the reviews have been so bad

feelimmature · 04/04/2009 08:45

I do not think he has much talent as a comedian or actor. Its the chubby one that keeps that partnership afloat.

MrsMcCluskey · 04/04/2009 08:48

I am feeling guilty as I stopped 'following ' him on Twitter - he was very dull.
Do you think I upset him?
